With all the talk that the naming rights to Wrigley Field may be sold, the San Francisco 49ers (NFL) announced that their stadium will be known as Candlestick Park again after their naming rights agreement with Monster Inc ended. It is good to hear an old stadium name back in the sporting world. The name will remain Candlestick Park for the foreseen future. The 49ers probably would have found another corporation to have sold the naming rights to, but a city ballot measure restricted the team from pursuing a new name for the stadium. The City of Chicago should try to do something like this to prevent Wrigley Field from being renamed.
